1. ACCEPTANCE This quotation is subject to acceptance in the manner required within one calendar month from the date hereof. 2. LABOUR The quotation given in respect of the labour charge, as far as my employees are concerned, is based upon the National Wage Rate negotiated by the Electronic Telecommunications and Plumbing Union as at the present date. Any increase in my labour costs by reason of any increase in such National Wage Rate coming into effect between the date of this quotation and the date upon which the Contract is completed will be added to the labour charge and the Contract price adjusted accordingly. 3. MATERIALS (a) The quotation given in respect of materials is based on current costs and any increase in the prices of the materials required to perform the Contract occurring after the date hereof and before the date of completion of the Contract will be added to the materials figure shown overleaf and the Contract price adjusted accordingly. (b) Whenever possible “forward booking” of materials with my Suppliers will be undertaken when customers place a firm order for specified goods to be taken within a specified time. (c) My quotation is based on the prices applicable to the quantities specified. In the event of the whole order as quoted for not being placed with me, I reserve the right to revise my prices in respect of the goods actually supplied in the performance of the Contract. 4. VALUE ADDED TAX The quotation as to labour and materials is exclusive of Value Added Tax which, where applicable, will be added at the appropriate rate upon completion of the Contract. 5. HIRING If any equipment has to be hired in order to perform the Contract the cost of hiring together with any Value Added Tax thereon will be added to the Contract price. 6. PARKING AND CONGESTION CHARGES Parking and congestion charges will added to the nett cost of the estimated works where incurred 7. SUB CONTRACTORS No responsibility will be accepted for any negligence or damage caused by any sub contractor on behalf of the customer. 8. GUARANTEES Every effort will be made to ensure as far as possible that the materials used in the performance of the Contract are of good quality and fit for the purpose for which they are intended. However, it is not possible to give any guarantees regarding these materials beyond those (if any) given by the respective manufacturers. 9. OVERDUE ACCOUNTS Interest will be charged on all accounts rendered which are not paid within one calendar month from the date the account is submitted. The interest will be Compound Interest at the rate of 5% per month and will be charged upon the Contract price (subject to any amendment as herein provided) or any balance thereof from the date such interest becomes payable to the date of actual payment. 10. DEPOSITS A sum equivalent to 30% of the nett contract price will become immediately due on order of the contract. 11. NON-PAYMENT OF INVOICES Failure to remit full payment of invoices will result in legal action being taken. Goods supplied will remain the property of B.E.S Electrical Contractors Ltd until full payment is received 12. CERTIFICATION The issue of certification will be restricted by the non payment of any invoice relating to the contract
